Most of our services start with an in-home consultation. This allows us to get to know each other and to discuss what your goals are with the project — your budget, timeline, ideas, expectations, and anything else relevant! Our in-home design consultation is a paid, working appointment for up to two hours, and you will walk away with valuable tips, advice, resources and a solid direction for your project. We will also review our design process and our Letter of Agreement.
The Consultation includes:
A walkthrough of the spaces you want to focus on, discussing each room's function, the existing furniture pieces, and new furniture recommendations
2 hours of brain-picking and brainstorming
Discussing your wants and needs
Recommendations for furniture layout
Defining the budget
Paint color options
Window treatment suggestions
Before your appointment, we invite you to download and complete our style questionnaire. While not mandatory, this is an excellent way for us to quickly learn more about you, your lifestyle and your reasons for contacting us.
We will contact you as soon as possible to confirm your appointment and to further discuss your project and how we work. Our goal is to offer you as transparent a process as possible as we work to transform your home. Click here to schedule.
After the Consultation, we will email you our Design Proposal within three business days. This is not a design plan, but rather a proposal outlining the scope of work, intentions, and our estimated design fees to complete the work, as well as a request for the non-refundable advance on our design fee in order to begin work. We’ll also send you our Letter of Agreement to sign.
Once your Design Proposal is approved, the fun can really begin! First, we will schedule an appointment to meet all involved trade partners and contractors at your home for on-site measuring. A few weeks later, we will schedule another meeting for the Design Presentation for your project. Here, we’ll present the full design plans and solutions for your home, along with a budget breakdown. There are two revisions included with the presentation. Revisions typically take about a week to turn around.
After final approval on the Design Presentation phase, purchasing can begin! You will be required to pay the deposit required to begin the purchasing phase. See our How We Work page for more details.
